My story

Growing up, my family traveled to 50 countries, helping with humanitarian efforts. Not only did this teach me about diverse cultures, but it also gave me a broad perspective of the world. This nontraditional education taught me to approach problems and writing from a unique perspective. Along with traveling, my family opened coffee houses as a business experience for my brothers and I. I am now living in Hawaii, finishing my BA in professional writing through GCU and working with a humanitarian organization called Surfing the Nations.

Through all these experiences, I have found writing to be my great escape and passion. Exploring the nitty gritty stories that lie within every person and place, yet that are often left untold.
